1. TONY ROBBINS GRANDFATHER CREATED ‘YOGI BEAR’ AND ‘HUCKLEBERRY HOUND’ CARTOONS

Tony Robbin’s grandfather, writer Charles Shows, created the ‘Yogi Bear’ and ‘Huckleberry Hound’ cartoons. The Huckleberry Hound Show was an animated series that began airing in 1958. Tony Robbins stands at a towering 6-foot-7 and he wears a massive 16-size shoe. In an interview with Playboy magazine, Tony said “I grew almost 10 inches my junior year of high school, but I didn’t discover why until I was 31 and a doctor told me I had a tumor in my brain. That was a brutal day, a moment of humbling disbelief, anger, and doubt. I’d been healthy as a horse but was told I had a rare disorder called Acromegaly, which caused the excessive growth spurt in my teens.”

3. TONY ROBBINS WAS ONCE HOMELESS

Tony Robbins has built a $6 billion empire, but he grew up poor and left home at 17 after years of protecting his younger brother, sister, and himself from his alcoholic mother, who was often abusive. Tony told Ocean Drive magazine, “I grew up dirt poor—‘when you went out to get the car, and it was gone’ kind of poor. I went through four fathers, or my mother did, and in my mind, it was all tied to finance.” Tony lived in a 1968 Volkswagen for a short time before he invested $35 in a Jim Rohn seminar that helped turn his life around.  Jim Rohn taught him that happiness and success are not a matter of how much a person has got, it depends on what he does with the available resources in his life. Robbins took inspiration from him and began life coaching.
